STEM is an interdisciplinary and applied approach that is coupled with hands-on, problem-based learning.<\/p><p>In Science Class PTAA students use\u00a0STEMscopes\u2122\u00a0curriculum to engage in and explore science\u00a0concepts.\u00a0STEMscopes\u2122 is a comprehensive online curriculum program that provides numerous hands-on inquiry activities, including intervention and acceleration resources.<\/p><p>It is written for teachers by teachers and is maintained at the most current level. Twin reasons for the success of the program are:<\/p><p>1.\u00a0inquiry-based, hands-on scientific exploration for student,\u00a0<em>and<\/em><\/p><p>2. teacher training\/development.<\/p><p>All PTAA science teachers are STEM certified.<\/p><p>While students interact with stem phenomena they are developing the skills and knowledge for tomorrow\u2019s careers<\/p><p>Students also have access to online material online\u00a0at home supporting their learning in class. Teachers will provide individual login information to each student.<\/p><div><p>STEMscopes\u2122 also\u00a0offers parents access to reference and practice material to support children with their learning\u00a0at home. To access the site, parents need to use the student login as well.
