BRICS Nation Program

Over the last four(4) years, PTAA has established school alliances with several Brazil, India and, China Schools (BRICS). 11th and 12th grade students will have the option of selecting an internship in a BRICS nation (Brazil, India, or China). The new alliance of fast-growing economies is called BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa). Russia and South Africa are not included in internship opportunities at this time due to current political unrest and safety concerns. The primary focus of this program is to challenge and mentor our students with their foreign peers in the fastest-growing economies. In addition to learning culture, language, and business in different countries, the internships will add to the portfolios of high school students for college applications, and allow students to share the American Dream with people in other countries.

These agreements are reciprocal and allow PTAA to invite students from these countries to experience life and education as exchange students; likewise, our Texas leaders will be experiencing life and education in these countries. Experiencing the culture, business, language and sports in foreign countries will afford the future PTAA leaders with extraordinary advantages in their college lives and careers.

China Sister Schools

Initially students will have the opportunity to select a school in one of three provinces in China:

• Guangzhou
• Chengdu
• Xiamen
