College, Career, and Military Readiness Plan

๐ŸŽฏ College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Plan Requirements

Under House Bill 3 (HB 3), PTAA is required to adopt plans in early childhood literacy, early childhood mathematics, and college, career, and military readiness (CCMR). Each plan must include:

  • A designated district-level administrator responsible for coordinating implementation and submitting an annual progress report to the Board.
  • An annual review of progress at a public Board meeting.
  • An annual report posted on the district and campus websites.
  • Specific, quantifiable five-year goals with annual targets for each PTAA campus.

๐Ÿš€ College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) Plans Must Include:

  • Annual goals for aggregate student growth on CCMR indicators evaluated under the Student Achievement domain.
  • Annual subgroup targets for all student groups evaluated under the Closing the Gaps domain.

๐ŸŽ“ GOAL 1 โ€” College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR)

Goal: The percentage of PTAA seniors who graduate College, Career, or Military Ready (CCMR) will increase from 71% in 2024 to 90% in 2029.

What Does CCMR Mean?

Students are considered College, Career, and Military Ready when they meet specific indicators that demonstrate preparedness for post-secondary success, including:

  • โœ“ Earning college credit through dual enrollment or AP exams
  • โœ“ Obtaining industry-recognized certifications
  • โœ“ Meeting TSI (Texas Success Initiative) benchmarks
  • โœ“ Enlisting in the military
  • โœ“ Other approved readiness indicators

Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy (PTAA) presents its annual House Bill 3 (HB 3) progress update for Early Childhood Literacy, Early Childhood Mathematics, and College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR). Each year, PTAA evaluates district performance, reviews progress with the Board of Directors at a public meeting, and posts updated results on the district and campus websites in accordance with Texas Education Code ยง 11.185 and 11.186. The following charts show PTAA’s five-year goals, annual targets, and current performance for all students and student groups based on the most recent STAAR and CCMR data.
